Writing Services Available

December 9, 2007

The arrival of the holiday break brings with it the joys of family, the spirit of giving, and the horror of knowing you’ve got chapters of your thesis finish before that deadline you set for yourself at some unbearably early point in 2008 — it seemed like a good idea at the time, didn’t it?

Fear not. Writing help is available throughout the holiday break and even during the school year. The Division of Graduate Education has been kind enough to hire me to work with all graduate students, masters or doctoral, English or otherwise.

My tutoring services mirror those provided to undergrads in the Writing Center, but on a larger scale. I will read entire theses or just chapters. I will provide feedback on your structure, organization, and focus.

Or, if you’re just beginning to write, I can be a sounding board for planning, an experienced ear willing to listen to whatever crazy ideas you’ve got about Byron’s sexuality or Shakespeare’s knowledge of the Freudian ego.

The service is free, and appointments during the school year can be made by calling the Writing Center at 994-5315. During the break, we can make arrangements to meet in Bozeman or work via e-mail.
